Meeting with Valérie Espinasse, micronutrionist

Valérie Espinasse, micronutritionniste

What are the principles of micro-nutrition?

The aim of micronutrition is to act either preventively or curatively, by providing specific micronutritional supplements for therapeutic purposes.

It's a natural therapy that enables the body to function optimally and rebalances certain metabolisms in the event of deficiency.

Can you tell us about your holistic health method?

My method is a global and personalized approach based on food intolerances.

A global approach, linking my patients' different symptoms or pathologies: the visible signs are often the tip of the iceberg, and I look underneath!

A personalized approach by linking family heredity to my patients' symptoms, taking into account their life stage and using specific assessments (food intolerances, intestinal microbiota, etc.) to adapt specific diets.

My method is natural, based on dietary changes and the use of micronutrition, and enables me to take charge of: digestive, skin, weight, sleep/stress/energy, migraine, pain/inflammation, immunity, gynecology (cystitis, mycosis), hormonal (PMS, menopause, PCOS, endometriosis, thyroid, etc.), allergies and also prevent aging.

Do you have any tips for the change of season?

First and foremost, it's the end of winter, often accompanied by fatigue!

Have a qualified breakfast: 1 egg + 1 slice of rye or buckwheat bread + avocado or olive oil + seeds and, depending on hunger, add almonds, hazelnuts or cashews.

Don't drink too much coffee, which can be a false friend when you're tired: 1 or 2 a day, but no more than that, otherwise you're sure to feel tired by mid-afternoon.

Have a fruit-based snack around 4-5pm: bananas are perfect at this time of year.

Do you have anything to add?

Hippocrates, the ancient physician, already said "Let your diet be your first medicine".

I've made it my motto!
