It's very difficult, if not impossible if you're not a chemist, to decipher the Latin names in the INCI list of products.
Does the ingredient "Argania Espinosa kernel oil" mean anything to you? Probably not. In fact, it's argan oil. Not so easy to figure out, is it?
It's also important to know that Yuka doesn't advertise on its app. It is a transparent company, which is not paid by companies. As a result, none of the products is given more prominence than the others, and no brand influences the rating.

How does it work?
Yuka is an easy-to-use mobile application with 5 million downloads. It lets you know if the products you consume are not harmful to your health.
Simply scan the product's barcode with your cell phone, and the application will display a score out of 100.
The application also deciphers ingredient labels and nutritional values (60% of the score), and tells you whether your product contains additives hazardous to your health (30% of the score). The remaining 10% of the score goes to the product's organic dimension.
Our Yodistas are very attentive to this transparency and decryption, and our French-origin, vegan products contain no sulfates, silicones, endocrine disruptors or allergens.
